CBS Sacramento and ABC10 reported that the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. Thursday on West Riego Road near Pacific Avenue in Sutter County.

According to CHP Yuba-Sutter, an eastbound Honda Odyssey sideswiped a westbound semi-truck, lost control, crossed into westbound lanes, and hit a Toyota Sienna carrying a family of six head-on.

The Toyota went into a canal. The father driving the Toyota suffered major injuries, other family members including children had minor injuries, the Honda driver was injured, and the semi-truck driver was not injured.
