The updated reporting said the crash involved a Toyota 4Runner towing a U-Haul trailer and a 30-foot box truck on westbound SR-92 near Hayward.

CHP-attributed reporting said the 4Runner driver was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected, and died at Sutter Eden Medical Center shortly after the crash.

Reconciling the Location Details

The original CHP-log based post referenced westbound SR-92 at the Hesperian Boulevard off-ramp. Later local reporting described the crash as westbound SR-92 just east of Industrial Boulevard.

Those descriptions point to the same general SR-92 Hayward corridor, but the exact impact point and lane position should be confirmed through the final CHP report.
