John Mejia
Lawyer
John Villagran Mejia is a native of the Bay Area and received his B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1989, and went on to complete law school at the University of San Francisco School of Law in 1992. During law school, he found a passion for litigation but was determined to serve real people with real problems in the courtroom, refusing to be sucked into defending high-profit corporations and insurance companies.
Mr. Mejia began his legal career as an insurance defense lawyer in the defense of personal injury, premises liability, and product liability matters. He has continued that practice as an advocate for the injured, and now works exclusively on representing accident victims throughout California. Mr. Mejia’s experience involves complex personal injury matters, including multi-district litigation in Federal Court, Vioxx litigation, and judicial council coordination proceedings in California State Courts.
Mr. Mejia cares deeply for the people that he represents and makes sure that he guides each and every person through the litigation process. He thrives on supporting the underdog in the courtroom, helping people in need, unafraid to take a case to trial in order to serve the best interest of his client till the end. Mr. Mejia is fluent in Spanish and is very involved with the Latino Community. He enjoys both playing and watching sports and spending time with his family in his Mountain View home.
Mr. Mejia is admitted to the United States District Court, Northern, Southern, and Central Districts of California.
