For reasons still under investigation, a big rig following the Chrysler failed to stop, resulting in a rear-end collision with the Chrysler.

The force of the impact caused the big rig to swerve into oncoming traffic, where it collided head-on with a white Nissan Altima. The woman driving the Nissan was pronounced dead at the scene, while the Chrysler’s driver was transported to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for medical evaluation and treatment.
