The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. on the two-lane rural highway, a road that traverses the Sierra Nevada foothills through this sparsely populated region east of Stockton.<\/p>\n\n      <p>According to the California Highway Patrol&#8217;s San Andreas Office, a 30-year-old man from Stockton was driving a Toyota Tacoma in a westbound direction on Highway 26 when his vehicle crossed the double yellow center lines and entered the oncoming lane of traffic.
