The impact was catastrophic. Three of the six occupants were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders.<\/p>\n      <p>The remaining three students were transported by emergency medical services to a nearby hospital. Tragically, one of the three hospitalized students later succumbed to her injuries, bringing the total number of fatalities to four. The two surviving students sustained critical injuries and received emergency medical treatment. Their conditions have not been publicly updated by authorities.<\/p>\n      <p>The California Highway Patrol launched a comprehensive investigation immediately following the crash. Investigators are working to determine the root cause of the single-vehicle collision, examining factors including vehicle speed, driver experience and condition, road geometry and visibility at the crash location, and whether all occupants were wearing seatbelts.
